Caleb Damron
Assistant Director, Facilities & Operations
Caleb was born and raised in Brownsville, Texas – a city “On the Border, By the Sea.” He first moved to Central Texas in 2001 to attend the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor where he earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Exercise & Sport Science with a minor in Biology. After graduating, he became a high school science teacher and taught for over five years. His career pivoted when he accepted a job as the Operations Manager of the fitness facility at his alma mater, UMHB. After four years in this role, he was promoted to Assistant Director over UMHB’s student union and football stadium, a job he held for almost a year before accepting the Coordinator of Fitness and Facilities position at Baylor in 2018. He started his current role as the Assistant Director of Facilities and Operations in 2020.
Caleb is married to his lovely wife of 17 years, Dr. Jane Haas Damron, who is a Senior Lecturer in Communication at Baylor University. They are the proud parents of a spunky miniature schnauzer named Piper. Caleb and Jane enjoy traveling, trying new restaurants and foods, visiting art museums, exploring large metropolitan areas, and spending time relaxing and hiking in the mountains. Caleb loves playing sports, even obscure ones, and enjoys exercising and weight-lifting.
