John Baltzell

John graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point with a Bachelor of Science in Political Science and Communication, and has served as a high school special education teacher and swim coach, coaching at both the high school and club levels, swam competitively in college, and later competed in cycling and paddling. He is currently pursuing a master’s degree in Therapeutic Recreation to expand his knowledge of serving individuals with disabilities. 

John brings a passion for swimming, paddling, and the outdoors to the Campus Recreation team. He enjoys maintaining a healthy, active lifestyle through cycling, running, and paddling, and is also passionate about backpacking, climbing, and a variety of other outdoor pursuits.
