Rock Climbing Wall
The largest, collegiate, indoor rock climbing wall in Texas, Baylor's 53 ft. climbing wall greets all SLC visitors with a challenge - come climb! The rock climbing wall has several unique features, including overhangs, slabs, imitation natural features, and even a crack formation for crack climbing.
Roped climbing routes range in difficulty from 5.6 to 5.13 and our experienced Rock Staff are always available to assist in selecting a route that challenges your abilities.
Multiple clinics are offered throughout the semester as well, including belay clinics, lead climbing, and an introduction to outdoor climbing.
With all gear (harness & shoes) provided FREE to students, faculty and staff, the rock climbing wall is a popular spot on campus to meet new friends or connect with familiar ones*.
* First-time climbers are required to participate in a short, rock wall orientation prior to their first climb.
