Events

Outdoor Adventure provides students, faculty and staff the opportunity to participate in competitive and recreational events throughout the year. Events are held in various locations on campus, with dates, times, deadlines and important registration information posted throughout the SLC and on social media. 

Chalk Up

Chalk Up is an informal bouldering competition offered every fall. It is an unsanctioned event, intended to provide climbers with a fun, encouraging atmosphere in which to compete. Baylor students, faculty/staff and alumni are welcome to come out and compete! 

Bear Climb 

Held in the spring semester, Bear Climb is Baylor Outdoor Adventure’s annual climbing competition hosted at the Baylor Rock Climbing Wall. Collegiate climbers of all ability levels from several colleges compete for prizes and Texas-sized bragging rights*.

Baylor's rock climbing wall and bouldering area are cleared of all holds and re-set with brand new, top-rope routes and boulder problems for the competition.

*This is not a USAC climbing comp.

Dia del Rio

On the eve of Diadeloso, bring your friends to the Pullin Family Marina to enjoy FREE paddling sports, beach volleyball, slackline, cornhole, and more. A limited supply of exclusive "Dia del Rio" tank tops are given away throughout the event.
