Campus Recreation offers a variety of student employment opportunities during the academic year, giving students the chance to gain valuable experience while supporting daily facility operations and program delivery.
Certified Personal Trainer - Join our nationally certified Personal Training team and help guide others on their journey toward improved health, wellness, and fitness. As a Personal Trainer, you’ll design safe, effective, and customized workout programs for clients of all levels—including Baylor students, faculty, staff, and their dependents. You’ll motivate and educate clients, offer appropriate modifications, and ensure safe use of equipment and facilities. If you’re passionate about coaching and empowering others, this is your chance to make an impact!
Fitness Center Attendant - As a Baylor Fitness team member in the SLC and Russell weight centers, you’ll help create a safe, fun, and welcoming workout environment while developing skills in communication, leadership, and fitness. Passion for helping others is essential, and a background in health or fitness is preferred.
Group Fitness Instructor - Fitness Instructors bring the energy to our group workouts, motivating and empowering participants of all levels. As a nationally certified instructor, you’ll lead students, faculty, and staff through safe, effective, and engaging routines while creating a high-energy, supportive environment. This role is ideal for those who love to move and want to inspire others on their fitness journey. Specifically, seeking individuals CERTIFIED in Yoga, Pilates (mat-based), Barre, Step, Zumba, Sculpt, etc.
Customer Service Team - As a Recreation Service team member, you’ll be one of the welcoming faces that helps create a positive first impression at the SLC, Russell Gym, and the Pullin Family Marina. You’ll provide friendly, reliable customer support, answer questions with confidence, and help ensure a smooth experience for all patrons. Strong communication skills are essential, and previous customer service experience is a plus.
Lifeguard - Become a member of our Aquatics team and serve as a lifeguard at the SLC Leisure Pool. In this role, you’ll help maintain a safe and welcoming environment for all swimmers, respond quickly to emergencies, and uphold high standards of pool safety. Current lifeguard certification is required, and ongoing training is provided.
Marina Staff - Marina student workers assist customers to properly fit PFDs and select paddles, communicate the Marina’s Water Safety Instructions, and give brief paddling instructions. Excellent communication skills are required to present and enforce all policies. The Marina is an open air facility and guides spend the majority of their time outdoors exposed to sun, wind and other elements, and workers are required to spend time on the water observing patrons and enforcing Marina policies.
Marketing Content Creator - Join Campus Rec’s dynamic marketing team and bring your creativity to life in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. You’ll turn photos, videos, and event details into polished, on-brand content that connects with our community and strengthens our social media presence. If you love storytelling through design and digital media, this role is a great opportunity to showcase your talent and grow your skills.
ROCK Staff - Student workers are responsible for all customer service-related issues including proper gear usage, climbing instruction, belaying, safety, and maintaining a positive attitude. Furthermore, student workers are responsible for the cleaning, care, and upkeep of equipment at the ROCK and surrounding area.
Sports Official/Referee - You make the call! Get an active, courtside view of Baylor Intramurals by officiating one of our many sports. As an official, you’ll stay involved in the action, help create a fair and fun playing experience, and build confidence in decision-making and communication. General sports knowledge is preferred, and all training is provided.
Sports Photographer/Videographer - Are you a creative student with a passion for sports photography and video content creation? Join the Campus Recreation team to capture action-packed moments, produce engaging media for social platforms, and help tell the story of our vibrant programs and events. This is a great opportunity to sharpen your skills, collaborate with staff, and build a dynamic portfolio in a fast-paced, energetic environment.
